Electric Zoo, a massive electronic music festival, is one of New York City’s most popular annual events, having drawn north of 85,000 fans in previous years.

Unfortunately, the festival was canceled due to the pandemic in 2020, but it’s slated for a triumphant return later this year, and fans couldn’t be more excited.

Of course, after a year of travel restrictions and stay-at-home orders, many of us are a little out of practice when it comes to traveling—particularly for live events like this one. The good news is that Launchtrip has you covered. Here’s what you need to know about Electric Zoo’s electrifying 2021 return.

Electric Zoo 2021 Dates and Location

Just like in previous years, Electric Zoo will go down on Randall’s Island in New York City, which is accessible by car via the RFK Triborough Bridge.

The festival is on the calendar for Labor Day Weekend, which falls on September 3–5 in 2021.

How to Get Electric Zoo Tickets

Passes for Electric Zoo 2021 are probably selling like flatscreen TVs on Black Friday, but there are still plenty available.

Passes, which start at $99.99 for single day, can be purchased here — just be advised that there’s a limit of nine tickets per customer. The festival also offers ferry and shuttle passes and locker rentals.

How to Get to New York City for Electric Zoo

On June 15, the majority of coronavirus-related restrictions in New York State were removed—that includes travel restrictions. That means you can travel to New York City by pretty much any method: by plane, by car, by train, on horseback, whatever you want. That being said, it’s worthwhile to stay on top of the latest information.

Here’s the most recent statement the State has provided with respect to travel:

“Quarantine periods for domestic and international travelers entering the state are no longer required (though it remains recommended for those not fully vaccinated). Travelers from out of state — except for those coming from New York’s contiguous states, which are New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont — must fill out a traveler health form, as do travelers coming from another country.”
